Later Named Vice President of Knife River’s Prestress Division
Knife River – Western Oregon Division announced today that Loren Later has been named vice president of the prestress operations, based in Harrisburg. Later joined Knife River in June 2004, as the prestress division general manager. Before joining Knife River he held management positions with Rinker Materials and Brown & Root.
“Loren has been the catalyst for many positive and innovative changes within his business unit, not the least of which was a dramatic improvement in the group’s safety performance,” said Dave Bull, Western Oregon Division president. “This promotion is recognition of his service and dedication to the company and the valuable knowledge he brings to Knife River each day.”
A native of Anchorage, Alaska, Later earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Brigham Young University and an MBA from Angelo State University in Texas. He and his family currently live in Springfield, Ore.
